The AI Search Briefing

The AI Search Briefing is a weekly briefing on AI search from Gerris AI: answer engine optimization (AEO), AI optimization (AIO), generative engine optimization (GEO), and what AI is doing to search engine optimization (SEO), written from practice for business owners. Each edition takes the week’s platform changes, published research, and rulings, states in plain language what actually happened and where it was announced, and says why it matters to a business that needs to be named when an AI assistant answers its buyers.

What does each edition cover?

Only AI search. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, and Gemini; AI crawlers and robots.txt rules; and published AEO and GEO research with its method stated. Every item links to the primary announcement or the study itself, and figures a platform reports about itself are labelled as that platform’s own numbers. If an item cannot be tied to a source, it does not run.
